Flow Control Valves
Flow Control Valves
Flow control valves are a category of valves designed to regulate the flow rate of a fluid within a system, rather than simply turning it on or off. They are used in applications that require precise and consistent control over the volume of a liquid or gas.
Unlike on/off valves (like ball or butterfly valves), a flow control valve's internal mechanism allows for throttling, or the ability to vary the size of the opening in the flow path. This is often achieved with a fine-threaded stem and a tapered plug or disc that can be adjusted to control the flow from zero to full capacity.
